What information should I gather before designing a kitchen?
Start with your room dimensions (width, depth, ceiling height), window and door positions, appliance sizes, plumbing and electrical locations, and a list of storage priorities. Use this checklist to capture every detail before you design or contact us.
How do I measure my kitchen for flat-pack cabinets?
Measure the room at floor, bench and ceiling heights. Record each wall length, window/door widths and heights, and the position of plumbing, power points, gas points and rangehood ducting. Take photos of each wall from the same spot.
Can I use this checklist when I contact Flatpack-kitchens.co.nz?
Yes. Download the PDF and email it to info@flatpack-kitchens.co.nz with your photos. Our team can use it to prepare a flat-pack kitchen quote and point out anything that needs special panels or fillers.
Do I need to choose appliances before ordering cabinets?
You need to know the exact widths and heights of your appliances (fridge, oven, dishwasher, cooktop, rangehood). The cabinet carcasses are built to those standard sizes, so wrong appliance sizes will leave gaps or fit issues.
